Starting of a Band – Fox News feature

Every Thursday for 12 weeks, Fox Carolina News is doing a feature on one of the Upstate’s American Idol contestants’ Josh Jones. Auditions were held every week at G-Spot in downtown Greenville. Matt Geib won the bass guitar, Dusty Johnson secures the drummer position and Jason Hudson takes the lead guitar spot. Dusty’s drum kit has been provided by Palmetto Music . Weekly, Fox Carolina’s, Margaret Burnquist, follows the band on their path to stardom through practice, interviews, appearances and gigs. Segments air after American Idol every Tuesday.

All marketing and bookings will be handled by the Jones Machine’s management company.

The Jones Machine – Meet the Band

Josh has set out to build the ultimate band and has achieved his goal. See the Fox News coverage on Backstage Pass every Tuesday after American Idol on the Upstate’s Original 10 o’clock News.

Week 2 – Matt Geib is the driving force on his bass guitar and adds backing vocals. Matt is also an accomplished guitarist.

Week 5 – Dusty Johnson is drums, percussion and backing vocals for the Jones Machine. Dusty also plays about every other instrument known to man.

Week 7 – Jason Hudson, the Jones Machine’s newest member, handles the lead and rhythm guitar adding that “justright groove” to the Jones Machine’s original songs. Jason also adds vocals and bass guitar to the mix.
